Hello, I am Bruce Scott

 Since launching Space to Focus Coaching and Consulting, I have provided services to over 150 organizations. Using my career experience to give insight and perspective to not-for-profit establishments, I enjoy continuing to be a support system to others who manage the intense pressures that come along with leadership positions.

Earning my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Missouri, Columbia my career as a nonprofit executive director spanned 34 years, beginning with Open Options, Inc. 1980-1997, then as CEO of UCP of Greater Kansas City, the United Cerebral Palsy affiliate, until 2013. I have has always believed in the power of community organizations and their leaders and I have enjoyed the experience of serving on nonprofit boards, including President of the board of Nonprofit Connect, Kansas City.

I spent most of my life and career in Kansas City and now live and work in Santa Fe, New Mexico where I exercise my passion for mountains, rivers, and fly fishing (and nonprofit organizations!)
